Have you ever had a sh*t day and thought to yourself, "wtf am I doing!?". But then something extraordinary happens…and that sh*t day becomes slightly less sh*tty. What could happen, you ask?

I received a Crewhu reminding me exactly what I was doing and that not all was lost. (P.S. I totally printed this out, and it's on my desk as a reminder that my time as a Service Manager did have an impact!)

Recognition in any form can have a significant impact on employee motivation, job satisfaction, and retention. When employees feel appreciated and recognized for their hard work and dedication, they are more likely to be committed to their jobs and meet the expectations of the company vision.

So not only can recognition give the employees all the feels, but it can also provide additional benefits, which include:

ONE: Improved Job Satisfaction
When a manager or peer takes the time to recognize employees for their hard work, it gives the employee a sense of purpose, allowing for job satisfaction, motivation, and overall a more positive work environment.

TWO: Increased Productivity
As we know, employees are more likely to be engaged and motivated when they feel appreciated. So, naturally, this leads to increased productivity and better performance...AKA: a better customer experience.

THREE: Boosted Morale
A positive work environment is vital nowadays, and recognition is crucial in providing that environment. This can lead to a more collaborative and supportive work environment. And who doesn't want that?!

FOUR: Retention
Employees who feel valued are more likely to stay with their current employer. Losing employees to the market is always tricky, but losing top performers can harm business operations. Recognition can boost loyalty tenfold.

FIVE: Attracting Talent
Positive work environments make it part of their culture to include recognition and appreciation. This can also be a powerful recruiting tool. Employee recognition programs like Crewhu are a great way to attract top talent!

I have received multiple badges over the years, but the one above is always near and dear to my heart. It reminds me every day that I am valued for me and the hard work I do. That little reminder motivates me to be productive and a contributing crew member.

My question to you is… how are you motivating your crew?

Until next time,
Ask Ashley… that is me!
